Nora Fatehi has shared a detailed update after being involved in a serious car accident in Mumbai on Saturday afternoon. Despite sustaining a concussion and other minor injuries, the actor went ahead with her performance at DJ David Guetta’s concert later that evening, a decision she discussed at length in a series of Instagram Stories.

Calling the incident “terrifying” and “traumatic”, Nora recounted how the collision unfolded. She said a drunk driver crashed into her vehicle with such force that she was thrown across the car. “I bashed my head on the window,” she explained, adding that she is still in pain but relieved to have escaped without life-threatening injuries. “I’m alive and I’m well… except for some minor injuries, swelling and a slight concussion,” she said. “That could have ended terribly.”

Nora stressed that the situation only reinforced her long-standing aversion to alcohol and substances. “I am not someone who has ever liked the idea of alcohol or anything like drugs or weed—anything that alters your state of mind,” she said. She added that it was shocking to experience such an incident in broad daylight: “I can’t believe this is even a scenario that has to happen at 3 p.m. in the afternoon… someone driving under the influence and putting people in harm’s way.”

Though visibly shaken, Nora said nothing would stop her from fulfilling her professional commitments. “I don’t let anything get in the way of my work, my ambition, and any opportunities that I get,” she said. “I worked way too hard to reach these milestones. No drunk driver was going to get in the way of that."

She thanked fans and friends for checking on her and reiterated her message: “Don’t drink and drive. There have been so many cases in India, in Mumbai itself, of innocent lives being lost because of this. There is no excuse for that.”

According to Mumbai Police, a case has been registered against the intoxicated driver for rash and drunken driving. Officers confirmed that Nora was taken to a nearby hospital for first aid and that her condition remains stable. “A case was registered against the intoxicated driver, and he was taken into custody,” police said.

Nora admitted she is still processing the shock of the moment. “I definitely saw my life flash right in front of my eyes,” she shared, adding that she hopes no one else has to experience something similar.
