Priyanka Chopra recently spoke about her 2009 dark comedy film, Kaminey and shared memories of her experience of working on it, saying that it ‘remains a turning point of my career’. Director Vishal Bhardwaj, whole helmed the thriller, re-shared Priyanka’s post and went down memory himself as he talked about the time when Priyanka got angry at him.

Vishal wrote, “Ask me how much I miss those days. You have been one of the finest collaborations of my career. Remember one day, when you got angry, I handwrote a poem on a napkin and sent it to manaoo (to mend things with you) you.”

He shared the poem which read, “Doosri jangaleedam ko khatam huye bhi beetein saal. Ab bhi kuch Japani afsar chhupien mile hain duty par. Tum se kab ab milna hoga.. Kya ab bhi naraaz ho tum? (It has been years since the second world war ended. Yet, some Japanese officers are still found hiding on duty. When will I get to meet you now? Are you still upset with me?)”.

Priyanka replied to this and wrote, “Hahaha aapse kaun naraaz reh sakta hai? Aaiye milne (Who can stay upset with you? Come, let's meet)."

Speaking about the film in her post, Priyanka said that she never thought Vishal would work with her due to her ‘commercial image’ at that time. The director called her when she was shooting for Dostana in Miami and that’s where he narrated the story of Kaminey to the actor. “I remember him telling me the story and I said, 'Well, she has approximately 8 scenes.' And he said, 'With us working on it, it will end up being so much more. Trust me.' And I did...He promised he would make something incredible for me after this in appreciation for doing the part. But honestly, I was just greedy to work with him," Priyanka wrote.

Kaminey also starred Shahid Kapoor, Amole Gupte, Shivkumar Subramaniam and Chandan Roy Sanyal in pivotal roles.

Priyanka later collaborated with the filmmaker on 7 Khoon Maaf. The film released in 2011 and is based on the short story Susanna's Seven Husbands by Ruskin Bond.

The actor was recently seen in the Hollywood action-comedy, Heads of State, which also starred John Cena and Idris Elba.
