Pooja Hegde, who plays a cameo in Rajinikanth's Coolie, recently reminisced about her journey in the film industry so far. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Pooja was asked about her Mohenjo Daro co-star Hrithik Roshan praising her work on writer-director Ashutosh Gowariker's film. Hrithik, who collaborated with Pooja on a photoshoot session, once described Pooja as a "rare talent" and "someone who will go a long way in the industry." Hrithik also lauded Pooja's performance in the film. As she heard the interview host, Anupama Chopra, narrate Hrithik's assertion about her, Pooja replied, saying, "Oh my God! That's amazing. That's so sweet of him to say that."
Mohenjo Daro (2016) marked Pooja's debut in Hindi cinema. The actor plays a farmer's (Hrithik) love interest in the film. The film follows a farmer who leads a revolt in Mohenjo Daro's elitists, oppressing the city's inhabitants.
Pooja's film Coolie with Rajinikanth and director Lokesh Kanagaraj is set to clash alongside Hrithik's War 2 with Jr NTR and director Ayan Mukerji at the box office. Both films are slated for an August 14 release in theatres.
Reflecting on her journey in cinema, Pooja said that she is "on the right path" and has been evolving as an actor. The actor's upcoming projects include Jana Nayagan with Vijay and director H Vinoth. She is also set to make her comeback in Hindi with director David Dhawan's Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, co-starring Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur.
