Recently, the makers of director Razneesh Ghai's 120 Bahadur announced that Raashii Khanna is part of the film's cast. It marks the maiden collaboration between Raashii and Farhan Akhtar in a feature film. However, the actors appeared together on an advertisement for the Pureit Ultima water purifier about ten years ago. Raashii reminisced about her previous collaboration with Farhan at the film's teaser launch. "I was new to modelling ten years ago and was thinking of becoming an actor. I had done a TV commercial with Farhan sir back then," Raashii said. She went on to add, "Now, I have worked with him on this film ten years later. Many people have noticed it (the advertisement). Life does come a full circle, and I am very grateful to have shared the screen with him."

In 120 Bahadur, Raashii only makes a special appearance. The film introduces Sparsh Walia. The cast also includes Ajinkya Ramesh Deo, Vivan Bhathena, Eijaz Khan, Ankit Siwach, Atul Singh, Ashutosh Shukla, Devendra Ahirwar, Brijesh Karanwal, Digvijay Pratap, Dhanveer Singh, and Sahib Verma.

120 Bahadur is based on the true story of the Rezang La battle during the 1962 Indo-China war, in which 120 Indian soldiers went up against thousands of Chinese troops. The film is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani through their Excel Entertainment banner, alongside Trigger Happy Studios' Amit Chandrra. It is slated for a November 21 release in theatres.

The film marks Farhan's first theatrical release since 2021's Toofaan. It also has his father Javed Akhtar as a lyricist.
