‘Chor Bazaari Phir Se’, a new song from Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer Bhool Chuk Maaf, was released by the makers on Thursday. The song is a rendition of the original peppy number ‘Chor Bazaari’ from the 2009 rom-com Love Aaj Kal crooned by Neeraj Shridhar and Sunidhi Chauhan. The new song is slightly different from its original tune and is composed by Pritam and Tanishk Bagchi. Irshad Kamil’s original lyrics are intact in the new version.
The music video is picturised on Rajkummar and Wamiqa, who play the lead couple Rajan and Titli, in the film. The video, in true loopy nature of the film, shows Rajan and Titli entering a marketplace over and over again, albeit in different outfits each time and with different gestures to showcase their love for each other.
Describing the song, Rajkummar said “This song is such a vibe. It perfectly captures the chemistry between Ranjan and Titli.”
Wamiqa added, “There’s drama, there’s dancing, and there’s this delicious mischief in every beat just like Titli. It’s messy and magical.”
Bhool Chuk Maaf has been written and directed by Karan Sharma and also stars Sanjay Mishra, Seema Pahwa, Zakir Hussain, Raghubir Yadav, Ishtiyak Khan and Anubha Fatehpuria in pivotal roles. The film will release in theatres on May 9.
