Akshay Kumar has responded to Jaya Bachchan’s remark on his film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and said that she must be right if she is saying so. Jaya had recently spoken about the film’s title and said that she would never go to watch such a film. Akshay was asked about it during a press meet for his upcoming film Kesari Chapter 2 and he said, “If she has said so, she is right. If I have made a mistake by making the film… she must be right."
During her recent appearance at India TV Conclave, Jaya said, “Just look at the title of the film; I would never go to watch a film with such a name. Yeh, koi naam hai? (Is that really a name)?"
She questioned the audience if they would go to watch such a film. “Among so many people, hardly four people want to watch the film; it's very sad. Yeh toh flop hai (It is a flop).”
In the film, Akshay’s character wants to build a toilet in his home and fights age-old traditions to convince his family. Meanwhile, Akshay's next film Kesari Chapter 2 also stars R Madhavan and Ananya Panday in pivotal roles and is set to be released in theatres on April 18.
