The National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) has joined in Anupam Kher’s directorial venture Tanvi The Great as co-producer.
Making the announcement via a press release, Anupam shared, "Tanvi The Great is a labour of love, crafted with the finest talent in cinema. Having NFDC as a co-producer strengthens our journey in bringing this powerful story to audiences worldwide.”
Prithul Kumar, Managing Director, NFDC and JS (Broadcasting-II) I&B Ministry, added, "NFDC is proud to co-produce Tanvi: The Great, a film that beautifully celebrates resilience, truth, and the transformative power of storytelling. Under the visionary direction of Anupam Kher ji, this deeply moving narrative unfolds with brilliance, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.”
Recently, Anupam had shared a promo of the film which showed photos of some visionaries of the world, including Albert Einstein, Anne Frank, Steve Jobs, Srinivasa Ramanujan, Elon Musk and Lionel Messi. In the promo, the actor in a voiceover said, “They dared to dream, they defied the impossible, they became a symbol of determination, and they saw the world differently and changed it forever. Introducing another mind that sees the world differently. Tanvi, a new perspective, a new force. Tanvi The Great.”
The film marks Anupam’s second directorial venture after 2002's family-drama Om Jai Jagadish. Tanvi The Great also stars Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen. MM Keeravani will be composing the songs for the film with lyrics by Kausar Munir. The remaining cast and the release date of the film is still under wraps.
