
It was reported earlier that Aamir Khan and Salman Khan’s 1994 cult-comedy Andaz Apna Apna will have a re-release in April. The official date of the Rajkumar Santoshi directorial’s return to theatres is now out. The film, also starring Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon, will re-release on April 25.
Actor Paresh Rawal, who played iconic dual roles in the film of Ram Gopal Bajaj and the villain Teja, took to X to share a poster of the film bearing the re-release date.
Andaz Apna Apna follows two youngsters, Amar and Prem (Aamir and Salman), who travel to Ooty to marry millionaire Ram Gopal Bajaj's (Paresh Rawal) daughter Raveena Bajaj (Raveena Tandon) and thereby get a piece of his wealth. However, a series of goofy situations see them facing off not only against each other but also Ram's twin brother Shyam Gopal Bajaj/Teja (Paresh Rawal) who is also seeking his sibling's fortune.
The film also has cameos of Juhi Chawla and Govinda as their real selves. Shakti Kapoor plays the role of Crime Master Gogo in the film.
There is also a possibility of a sequel of the film. Both Aamir and Salman, in recent interviews, have mentioned that the film’s director Rajkumar Santoshi is penning the script. Further developments are contingent on the stars liking the screenplay.
