The song ‘Chal Kudiye’ from Alia Bhatt’s Jigra was released by the makers on Tuesday. It is sung by Diljit Dosanjh and Alia, and written and composed by Harmanjeet Singh. The song marks Diljit and Alia’s second song collaboration after ‘Ik Kudi’ from Udta Punjab (2016). Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala and also stars Vedang Raina.
The song begins with a voiceover of Alia where she reaffirms her strong bond with Vedang’s character, who plays her brother in the film. The lyrics by Harmanjeet are inspiring and have powerful verses. Its effect is fueled by the controlled yet effective vocals of Diljit. The latter part of the song is sung by Alia with a refreshing appeal.
The film’s teaser trailer was unveiled earlier that gave a glimpse into its intense world.
It was reported this February that the film's shoot had been wrapped. Jigra was originally scheduled to come out on September 27 but it was later announced in June that the film would hit theatres on October 11.
It is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Alia’s Eternal Sunshine Productions.
