Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 continues its winning streak at the box office. The Amar Kaushik directorial witnessed a 100 per cent jump in its collections on Saturday, Day 24, of its release. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, early estimates for Stree 2’s fourth Saturday suggest that the film earned Rs 8.75 crore. On Friday, the movie had managed to collect Rs 4.5 crore.
As per Sacnilk, Stree 2’s domestic collection now stands at Rs 516.25 crore. However, as per the official figures released by Maddock Films, the banner behind Stree 2, the film has earned Rs 526.43 crore in India in 22 days since its release.
On its fourth Saturday, Stree 2 had an occupancy of 24.27 per cent. Chennai recorded the highest occupancy of 99.33 per cent despite the film only releasing in 137 screens. Other than Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad also have seen a spike in occupancy.
Stree 2 has become one of the highest grossing films in the history of Hindi cinema. It was earlier reported that the film had surpassed Animal’s lifetime collection in Hindi language.
The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana.
