Anupam Kher is out to defy age again. The trailer of Vijay 69 was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. The film features Anupam as the titular Vijay, a 69-year-old man who takes on the daunting challenge of competing in a triathlon. Directed by Akshay Roy, Vijay 69 also features Chunky Panday and Mihir Ahuja.

The trailer introduces us to Anupam’s Vijay, a grumpy old man who is unwilling to accept his age. “Buddha hoga tu (You are old),” he says angrily. His one goal in life to do something so great that people remember him after his demise. He comes across a triathlon competition and decides to participate. This invokes laughter from his peers, including his friend played by Chunky Panday. His daughter is also disappointed in him. The trailer gives a glimpse of how Vijay will overcome hurdles to achieve his dream.

Reflecting on the film, writer-director Akshay said, “Vijay 69 is about second chances and the gap between ‘what we thought we’d become and what we actually became’; it is about passion, determination and that timeless ingredient called perseverance - whether you're overcoming life's hurdles or training for a triathlon.”

The film is produced by Maneesh Sharma under YRF Entertainment. It releases on Netflix on November 8.
