Zoya Akhtar’s photo with Hollywood stars Andrew Garfield and Jacob Elordi goes viral

Zoya Akhtar’s shared the stage recently with Hollywood stars Andrew Garfied and Jacob Elordi at the Marrakech International Film Festival and photos from the opening ceremony went viral. The director will be serving as a jury member for the 21^st edition of Marrakech Film Festival along with Luca Guadagnino, Andrew, Jacob, Ali Abbasi, Patricia Arquette, Virginie Efira, Nadia Kounda, and Santiago Mitre.

In the viral photo, Zoya is seen smiling as she sat between Andrew and Jacob on the stage at the opening ceremony of the festival. In another video shared by Marrakech Film Festival on Instagram, Zoya is seen posing for photos with all the other jury members of the festival.

The website of the festival included a short note on Zoya as they introduced her as a jury member. It read, “Zoya Akhtar’s work has earned her an Emmy Award nomination, a NETPAC Award for Best Asian Film, world premieres at both the Festival de Cannes and the Berlinale, and India’s official entry to the Academy Awards.”

On the work front, Zoya’s last directorial was the Netflix film The Archies, which premiered last year on the streaming platform.
