Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Kartik Aaryan and others come out to vote

Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Kartik Aaryan, Farhan Akhtar, Rajkummar Rao, John Abraham, Soha Ali Khan, Sharvari Wagh and others cast their vote for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 in Mumbai on Wednesday. The polling began at 7 am in 288 assembly seats in the state and will extend till 6 pm in the evening.

After casting his vote, Akshay told PTI, “The best thing is that the arrangements are good (at the polling booth), especially for senior citizens, there’s cleanliness. Everyone should come out and vote because that’s the most important thing.”

Rajkummar appealed others to cast their votes as well. “It is our right in democracy to vote, so it’s important we step out and vote in Maharashtra. I have performed my duty. It’s your turn, please vote, it’s very important,” he told PTI.

Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar took to X to post photos along with his family after voting. He wrote, “It’s time to think, and proudly show your ink. Every vote matters! Have you done your part?”

Soha wrote on Instagram after voting, “We do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate.” Thomas Jefferson. Have you voted?”

Other Bollywood celebrities who came out to vote in the morning were Ali Fazal, Genelia D’Souza Deshmukh, Sonu Sood, Onir, Subhash Ghai, Shilpa Shetty and Anupam Kher.
