Earlier, we reported about Diljit Dosanjh receiving a notice that kept him from singing songs with lyrics promoting violence, drugs or alcohol at a Hyderabad concert. Diljit responded to it by changing the lines of some of his songs. Still, Diljit criticised the Telangana government for the imposition of such limitations, even as international artists never face them while performing in Hyderabad.

In a video clip that has gone viral, Diljit says, "When artists come to India from other countries, they are allowed to do whatever they like, sing whatever they want. But when an artist from your own country is singing, people have so many problems."

The actor-singer went on to add that some do not like how big his concerts are. He stated, "Some people cannot digest the fact that such big shows are happening, that tickets are getting sold out in two minutes… Bro, I’ve been working for many many years now. I have not become famous in a day."

He also highlighted illegal concert ticket trade as an international issue and stated that the government continues to make efforts to prevent it. In the video, he said, "Government ispe kaam kar rahi hai (Government is working on this)."

The concert in Hyderabad featured in the actor-singer's Dil-Luminati Tour, which he started in Delhi this October and also includes performances in some other Indian cities. The singer will resume his concert tour in Ahmedabad, and he is set to end it on December 29 in Guwahati.
