Preity Zinta on 20 years of Veer-Zaara: The film taught me about love that’s selfless and timeless

Preity Zinta took to Instagram on Wednesday to write a short note on the 20 years of Veer-Zaara. The film released on November 12, 2004. Directed by Yash Chopra, it also starred Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Manoj Bajpayee and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles.

Preity shared a clip from a song featuring her and Shah Rukh. In the caption, she wrote, “Wow! It’s been 20 years since Veer-Zaara! Still feels like yesterday! This film taught me about love that’s selfless and timeless. I am so grateful to have been a part of this beautiful love story that touched hearts across the world. Thank you for all the love you have given to Veer-Zaara. Much love to my amazing co-stars, the wonderful crew, and of course, to YOU, the fans, who made this movie so special! Here’s to timeless love, unforgettable memories, and 20 years of Veer-Zaara!”

The film was recently re-released internationally in 600 screens on November 7 to mark its 20-year anniversary.

Written by Aditya Chopra, the film tells the epic love story of an Indian pilot, Veer and a Pakistani girl, Zaara, that transcends time and boundaries. It received critical acclaim upon release and turned out to be a huge success at the box-office.
