Music company and film production house T-Series has been accused of plagiarism again. This time, musician Nilanjana Ghosh Dastidar has accused the company and music directors Sachet Tandon and Parampara Thakur of plagiarising her husband Rajarshi Mitter’s original track to make ‘Maiyya’ a song from the Netflix release Do Patti, featuring Kriti Sanon, Kajol and Shaheer Sheikh.
Nilanjana took to social media to express outrage and demand action against T-Series and Sachet-Parampara, sharing a link to her husband’s original track.
In her Facebook post Nilanjana wrote, “Kindly report T Series Films, Sachet Tandon, and Sachet Parampara official handles. They have blatantly used my husband Rajarshi Mitter’s track without permission or legal action in their Bollywood movie song ‘Maiyya’ from Do Patti.”
She added, “I’m asking all my fellow musicians and artists to shame this music director and the entire T-Series music company. How dare you guys do this? If you can’t make music, then don’t steal it! Sachet Tandon, I’m speaking directly to you – you’re a shameless, filthy thief. How dare you not even ask for the rights from my husband? You’re a thief! Go to hell!”
Neither T-Series nor Sachet-Parampara have responded to these latest accusations.

Previously too, T-Series has faced allegations of plagiarism for songs such as ‘Genda Phool’, which was accused of copying the Bengali folk song ‘Boroloker Bitilo’. Composer Akarsh Sharma has also previously accused the company of copying his song ‘Humsafar’ in 2017, and Pakistani singer Mustafa Zahid claimed that T-Series’ song ‘Tum Hi Ho’ from Aashiqui 2 was copied from his own song in 2013.
Recently, Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui also slammed T-Series for plagiarising the song ‘Akhiyaan De Kol’ from the same movie, Do Patti. He claimed that the song bore a resemblance to a Pakistani folk song.
There has been no response from either T-Series or Sachet-Parampara yet.
