Ranveer Singh’s film with HanuMan director Prasanth Varma shelved

The film was earlier titled Rakshas and as per an official statement doing rounds on social media, the project has been called off due to creative differences

Ranveer Singh and HanuMan director Prasanth Varma’s collaboration has been called off, as per an official statement by the makers that is doing rounds on social media. The two were earlier reportedly coming together to make a film titled Rakshas. However, it has been confirmed by the makers now that they have parted ways due to creative differences.

The statement also said that it was not the ideal time to work on the project and both Ranveer and Prasanth hope to work together sometime in future. The makers wrote in the statement, “Recently, rumors have been going around that the film Rakshas which was said to be directed by Prasanth Varma and headlined by powerhouse Ranveer Singh - the duo, decided to part ways on the project due to creative differences.”

Talking about Prasanth, Ranveer said in it, “He is a very special talent. We met and explored the idea of a film together. Hopefully, we will collaborate on something exciting in the future."

Director Prasanth added, “Ranveer's energy and talent is rare to find. We shall manifest our forces combining soon sometime in the future."

As per reports, Rakshas was set in pre-independence era with a mythological context. The official statement from the makers comes in the middle of many rumors floating around on social media of the project being shelved.
