
Actor Yami Gautam Dhar and her filmmaker husband Aditya Dhar announced the birth of their baby boy via Instagram on Monday. They have named their son Vedavid, which means someone who is well-versed in the Vedas.
The couple put up a post on social media, with a graphic of Lord Krishna holding a child. “We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our beloved son, Vedavid,” read the graphic. “Who graced us with his birth on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritya.” Going by the graphic, the boy was born on May 10.
“As we embark on this beautiful journey of parenthood, we eagerly anticipate the bright future that awaits our son. With every milestone he achieves, we are filled with the hope and belief that he will grow to become a beacon of pride for our entire family as well as our beloved nation,” Aditya and Yami added in the caption.
Aditya and Yami got married in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic and had only 20 guests at their wedding. They tied the knot in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi. “It was as simple as possible. Aditya and I are simple people and we like to keep it like that. We are private and reserved and only wanted to share it with the world when the time was right. Even if there was no pandemic, I assure you it would have been the same wedding. Nothing would have been different (sic),” Yami had told PTI.
