Actor Ashish Gokhale, who is sharing screen space with Ajay Devgn back-to-back after Bholaa and Shaitaan in Raid 2, said the raids shown in sequel is different from the first part.

Talking to News18, the actor added that 75 percent of the film's shoot has concluded. He further said events shown in Raid 2 are based on true incidents.

The actor, who will be seen playing a cop alongside Ajay Devgn, describes Ajay Devgn as a "friendly", "down-to-earth" and a "humble" person. Gokhale added that he never thought he would work on two films with Devgn when he did Bholaa. He went on to say he will feel good if gets another chance to co-star with Devgn.

Raj Kumar Gupta returns to the franchise to direct the sequel that stars Riteish Deshmukh as the antagonist and Vaani Kapoor as the leading-lady.

Raid 2 is backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak under their banners T-Series and Panorama Studios, respectively.

The film is a follow-up to the 2018 film Raid where Ajay Devgn portrays a senior income tax officer Amar Patnaik. The film also starred Ileana D'Cruz and Saurabh Shukla.

Raid 2 is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 15 this year.
