In 2014, he directed the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Bhoothnath Returns which tackled the issue of importance of voting with a quirky narrative.

His last directorial venture was the Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Bawaal that came out last year. He is currently making Ramayana which reportedly stars Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavan, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Indira Krishnan as Kausalya.
