SRK is the best example of insider-outsider debate, says Kriti Sanon as she turns 9 in the industry

Actor Kriti Sanon called Shah Rukh Khan the best settler of the insider-outsider debate in Bollywood as the Crew actress turned nine in the industry.

Kriti, who herself is an outsider in the industry, said being an insider or an outsider has its own share of pressures. She made her debut alongside Tiger Shroff in Heropanti. Kriti said, "Tiger had the pressure to live up to his father Jackie Shroff's name and me being an outsider hoped people would notice me."

She added that it takes a while for people to know your name and register if you are an outsider, but if you keep at it you will start feeling like an insider. Kriti continued that for a long time she has been known as the co-star of Tiger and even director Ashwiny Tiwari's daughter had been calling her "Tiger Didi."

Taking the example of Shah Rukh Khan, who made it big in Hindi cinema as an outsider, Kriti said, "Shah Rukh Khan is an absolute outsider and the best settler of insider-outsider debate that we keep having. It is a matter eventually."

Kriti had co-starred with SRK in Rohit Shetty's Dilwale.

Kriti stars in Crew, which released today, alongside Kareena Kapoor and Tabu. The narration has the trio caught up in a situation where a passenger smuggles gold on the flight when their employer is running at a loss.

The film is directed by Rajesh A Krishnan and is backed by Anil Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor.
