Madgaon Express earns Rs 11.15 crore in five days

Kunal Kemmu’s debut directorial venture Madgaon Express has earned Rs 11.15 crore at the box-office since its release on March 22. The comedy-drama film starring Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, and Avinash Tiwary managed to get a collection of Rs 1.50 crore on Tuesday.

Madgaon Express opened up to positive reviews on March 22 with praises showered on Kunal’s writing and the performances of all the actors. As per sacnilk.com, the film did a collection of Rs 1.5 crore on the first day; Rs 2.75 crore on Day 2; Rs 2.8 crore on Day 3 and Rs 2.6 crore on Day 4. The long weekend during the festival of Holi turned out to be in favour of the film.

The film is about three youngsters who have dreamt of making a trip to Goa since childhood. When they finally make it, they fall into absurd situations filled with drugs, gangsters and cops on their trail. It is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment.
