'Dheeme Dheeme' song from Laapataa Ladies out

‘Dheeme Dheeme’ song from Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies was released by the makers on Friday. The song plays during the climax of the film and extends into the credits. The makers released the song on the occasion of International Women’s Day today. The film stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan and Chhaya Kadam in pivotal roles.

The song begins with Nitashi and Sparsh crossing a river in a boat. As the vocals by Shreya Ghoshal begin, we are taken into some scenes from the film featuring Nitashi as she is stranded on an unknown railway station. Sparsh’s character takes the trouble to find her everywhere. The song is composed by Ram Sampath with lyrics by Swanand Kirkire. It is a hopeful ode to the winds of change which take time to come about.

Presented by Jio Studios, Laapataa Ladies is produced by Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande. It was released in theatres on March 1 and was appreciated by critics who praised the screenplay, performances and Rao’s direction.
