The trailer of Ajay Devgn’s upcoming film Maidaan will be released on March 7, the makers announced on Tuesday. The film is a biographical sports drama based on the life of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim and is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma. It also stars Priyamani Raj and Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles.
Ajay released a poster of the film while announcing the trailer release date. In the poster, he is seen surrounded by some athletes in a moment of emotional glory. In the caption, he wrote, “Witness an extraordinary story of a man, a team, a nation, and the unwavering belief that left an indelible mark on the history of Football!”
The film was earlier scheduled to release on June 23 last year but got delayed. It features music by A.R. Rahman with lyrics written by Manoj Muntashir Sharma. Produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Akash Chawla, Maidaan will be released in theatres on Eid this year.
