Anupam Kher thanks Mumbai Police for catching thieves who robbed his office
After actor Anupam Kher informed on Friday that his office in Mumbai’s Veera Desia Road area has been robbed, the Mumbai police has nabbed the culprits.
The actor took to Instagram on Sunday to share a slew of posts, including a thank you note for the cops. He also shared a picture of the caught thieves along with the police and screenshots of his post informing about the crime and the police’s social media post stating that they have started the investigation.
Kher’s thank you note read, “My heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the Mumbai Police for catching both the thieves who ransacked my office, stole my safe and the negative of #MaineGandhiKoNaiMara. The fact that it was done within 48 hours speaks of their amazing efficiency!! Jai Ho! (Folded hands, heart eyes and National Flag emojis).”
As per PTI, Majid Sheikh and Daler Bahreem Khan were taken into custody from the Jogeshwari area on Friday night for committing the crime. Police said the two were serial thieves and would travel to various places in the city by autorickshaws to steal.
On Friday, Kher had shared a video on Instagram showing his office’s broken door. He also shared a long note, detailing the robbery. “Last night, two thieves broke two doors of my office at the Veera Desai Road and stole the entire safe from the Accounts Department (which probably they couldn’t break) and negative of a film produced by our company which was in a box. Our staff has got an FIR done.”
On the film front, Kher was last seen in the children’s film Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan. His upcoming projects include Emergency and Vijay 69.
