‘Tuu’, the first song from the Ajay Devgn and Tabu-starrer Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha was released by the makers on Tuesday. Composed by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani, the song is crooned by Sukhwinder Singh and Javed Ali, with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir.

Apart from Ajay and Tabu, the song’s music video is also picturised on Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar, who play younger versions of their characters. The romantic drama also stars Jimmy Sheirgill.

Talking about the song, the film’s writer-director Neeraj Pandey shared, “It’s said that there are seven stages of love. ‘Tuu’ is a song that captures the essence of all of these seven. It’s a song about love and there was a lot of labour involved too.”

Music composer MM Keeravani added, “Adrenaline rush followed by composed calmness, festive chants followed by admiration of the lover, anticipated climax followed by a determined statement… the three verses of this love song display the rainbow of romance in the air - conceived by passionate movie maker Neeraj Pandey. It was a much cherished experience for me to have the energies of Sukhwinder Singh and vibrations of Javed Ali echoing the wonderful words by my good old friend Manoj Muntashir.”

Earlier, the trailer for the film was released and gave a glimpse of a love story between Ajay and Tabu’s characters, spanning across decades.

The film will be Neeraj's first theatrical directorial since Aiyaary (2018). The director since then has been working on web series like Special Ops, Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, and The Freelancer.

This will be Ajay’s tenth collaboration with Tabu. The actors have previously worked together in blockbusters like the Drishyam series and Bholaa.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is scheduled to release in theatres on July 4.
