Adil Hussain opened up recently about Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal and said that he would not do the film even if he was offered Rs. 200 crores. Adil had earlier expressed his regret over doing Kabir Singh (2019) which had invited the anger of Sandeep who responded by taking a strong dig at the actor for his ‘art films’.
In an interview with Zoom, Adil responded to Sandeep’s comments and said, “Very unfortunate that he thinks like that. His film did a lot of box office collection so probably he thinks like that. I don’t know the exact figures of Kabir Singh but Life of Pi (2012) did over a billion dollars so I don’t think he can compete with that. He should have thought about it before he said it."
Adil played a crucial role in Ang Lee's 2012 film Life of Pi. He also revealed that he has not seen Animal and was asked if he would have done a role in Animal. To this, he replied, “Never. Even if they paid me ₹ 100-200 crore, I would never do it.”
Adil Hussain was last seen in the Malayalam film Otta. He also played the role of a cop in Randeep Hooda’s crime thriller web-series, Sergeant. He will be seen next in the action-thriller Ulajh which also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew.
