Salman Khan set to start shooting for Sikandar this month

Salman Khan will be starting the shoot of Sikandar from June 18, the makers announced on Monday. Directed by AR Murugadoss (Ghajini, Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty), the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna in a pivotal role.

The makers took to X to make the announcement and said that the shoot will begin with an air action sequence. They wrote, “#NGEFamily is super excited to share the date of our first day of shoot for #Sikandar on the 18th of June with the biggest Air Action sequence!”

Earlier, it was announced that music director Pritam has joined the film which is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It will be released on Eid next year.

Sikandar marks the first-time director AR Murugadoss and actor Salman are collaborating on a film. Salman’s 2014 film Jai Ho was written by Murugadoss and was based on his 2006 Telugu film Stalin.

Salman was last seen in Maneesh Sharma’s Tiger 3 (2023). Meanwhile, Rashmika was last seen in Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (2023).
