Singer-composer Vishal Dadlani took to his Instagram stories on Thursday night to express solidarity with the woman CISF officer who slapped actor-politician Kangana Ranaut yesterday at Chandigarh airport. Vishal said that he will ensure that the officer gets a job.
Vishal shared a video from the airport after the incident took place and wrote, “I do not ever support violence, but I absolutely understand the need of this @official_cisf personnel's anger. If any action is taken against her by the CISF, I will ensure that she has a job waiting for her should she choose to accept it. Jai Hind. Jai Jawaan. Jai Kisaan.”
After the incident on Thursday evening, Kangana had issued a video where she explained her side of the story. The officer, Kulwinder Kaur, was later detained and suspended following a complaint by Kangana. In a viral video, Kulwinder was seen saying that Kangana had disrespected farmers with a statement last year and her mother was among the protestors.
Kangana even took to Instagram stories and questioned everyone’s silence on the slap incident. She recently won the Lok Sabha seat for Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, defeating the Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh.
She was last seen in the film Tejas (2023) where she essayed the role of a pilot. Her film Emergency was earlier delayed for release due to the elections.
