Sharvari opened up recently about her Hindi film debut Bunty aur Babli 2 and said that the film opened many doors for her. The film was a sequel to Bunty aur Babli (2005), which originally starred Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan.
Sharvari will be seen next in the horror-comedy Munjya, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar.
Sharvari reflected that she has fond memories of working on the sequel and said to PTI in an interview, “That film opened so many doors for me. People in the industry didn’t know me before this. They didn't know who Sharvari was. You cannot term anything as a failure if you're getting work from that. I have been getting work from my first film. I will always be grateful to it, no matter what it did at the box office. I just want more work.”
Bunty aur Babli 2 also featured Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji and was directed by Varun Sharma. It turned out to be a failure at the box-office.
Munjya is written by Yogesh Chandekar with additional screenplay and dialogue by Niren Bhatt. Its music has been given by Sachin- Jigar with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. It is produced by the makers of Stree, Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik. It will be released in theatres on June 7.
