'Chot Dil Pe Lagi': New song from Ishq Vishq Rebound is early 2000's nostalgia

‘Chot Dil Pe Lagi’, a love ballad from the upcoming rom-com Ishq Vishq Rebound, was released by the makers on Thursday. The song is crooned by Asees Kaur and Varun Jain with music by Rochak Kohli and lyrics by Gurpreet Saini. It is a modern rendition of a song from the same name from the Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao, and Shehnaaz Treasury starrer Ishq Vishq (2003). Ishq Vishq Rebound, directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, is a Gen Z take on the 2003 film.

The music video is picturised on the film’s four leads: Rohit Saraf, Naila Grrewal, Jibraan Khan and Pashmina Roshan. It shows moments from the character’s lives as they fall in love. The song’s tunes give a sense of nostalgia for the 2003 film Ishq Vishq.

Previously, two songs from the film, the title song and ‘Soni soni’, have been shared by the makers.

Ishq Vishk Rebound is produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani and is set to be released in theatres on June 21.
