The first look of Neena Gupta’s musical drama, Hindi-Vindi, was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. The film secured development funding from Screen Australia and is a collaboration of the Indian and Australian film industries. It is helmed by Sydney-based director Ali Sayed and written by Jay Sharma. It also stars Mihir Ahuja and Australian musician Guy Sebastian.

The first-look poster showcases the film’s lead actors, Neena Gupta, Mihir Ahuja, and Guy Sebastian, in a visually stunning frame. In the poster, Neena and Mihir sit with each other, with a guitar and a sitar by their sides.

Speaking about the film, director Ali Sayed said, “We are incredibly excited to share the first look of Hindi-Vindi with the world. This film is a labor of love, and we can’t wait for audiences to embark on this journey with us. The first look is just a glimpse of what’s in store, and we believe it will leave everyone eagerly anticipating the release.”

The film’s music is composed by musician duo Javed-Mohsin and Guy Sebastian himself. The film is currently in the final stages of post-production under the hands of film editor Steven Bernard.

It is a musical drama exploring intergenerational language barriers within the migrant community. Hindi-Vindi is tentatively set to hit theaters in September 2024, close to Hindi Diwas, celebrating the Hindi language.
