This month, actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal welcomed a baby girl. Richa, on Monday, posted adorable photos from a gathering at her house. In the pictures she can be seen holding the baby and surrounded by veteran actors like Shabana Azmi, Tanvi Azmi, Urmila Matondkar and Dia Mirza. Father Ali can also be seen in the pictures.
“An evening drenched in rain and love, with piping hot khaalas/maasik and sabudana wadas. I think the tea was too cold for Tanve Azmi apologies!” Richa captioned the post. “How lucky is this little girl to be blessed and touched by the most loving and the very best! How happy is Guddu Pandit! How pampered is the mom! Thank the heavens for bonds like these Urmila Matondkar, Azmi Shabana, Dia Mirza! A big thanks to Dia, for sorting me out… I mean A to Z pregnancy-wise! forever indebted and grateful ! Love you all!!!”
Shabana Azmi also shared a picture from the evening and wrote, “With the khala / Masis of the new mum and baby.” Dia Mirza commented on the photo, “One of the best days of our lives.”
Richa and Ali became parents on July 16. The two had married in 2022 after dating each other for some years.
The couple shared a short note on the good news which read, “We are tickled pink with joy to announce the arrival of a healthy baby girl on 16.07.24! Our families are overjoyed and we thank our well-wishers for their love and blessings!”
On the work front, Richa was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar while Ali returned to the third season of Mirzapur which released on July 5. They have starred together earlier in Fukrey (2013) and Furkey Returns (2017).
