Raj & DK share date for the next update on Citadel: Honey Bunny

Filmmakers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK shared an update on their upcoming series Citadel: Honey Bunny, starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

The makers took to social media on Thursday to share a date: “01.08” along with a caption which was emojis for ‘Honey’ and ‘Bunny’. However, it is not clear if the date denotes the release of the series or of any asset (trailer, teaser or poster) from the show.

The spy series will also feature Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Singh Parihar, Kashvi Majmundar, Saquib Saleem, and Sikandar Kher. As per the slate list of Amazon Prime Video, the platform on which the show will premiere, “The Indian segment of the global spy series Citadel, Honey Bunny fuses a gritty spy action thriller with the allure of a love story, all set against the vibrant tapestry of the '90s.”

The American version of Citadel came out last year on the streaming platform. It starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden in the lead. Multiple spin-offs of the show are planned which will be set in Italy, Mexico and Spain respectively.
