Pankaj Tripathi and director Ashiwny Iyer Tiwari have worked on Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017).

Earlier, during interviews, talking about her directorial process Pankaj had shared “Ashwiny gave me complete freedom to do the role the way I wanted. I made the character an energetic person and added my own touches.” He further emphasized, “I take cues from my directors.”

In Bareilly Ki Barfi, Pankaj had a comic role and he played the father of Kriti Sanon’s Bitti. The film was also known for Rajkummar Rao’s performance range, as a mousy saree salesman to a badass goon. Bareilly Ki Barfi also features Ayushmann Khurrana.

Ashwiny recently served as a co-writer for her husband Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial Bawaal. Pankaj, on the other hand, is gearing up for the release of Stree 2.
