‘Aaj Ki Raat’: Tamannaah Bhatia sets fire on the dance floor in new song from Stree 2

The song, ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ from Stree 2, was released by the makers on Wednesday. It features Tamannaah Bhatia as she dances along the peppy tunes. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana.

The music has an old-school flavour to it as Tamannaah puts her best leg forward to match the rhythm of the energetic song. Rajkummar, Pankaj and Aparshakti join the song midway, reminiscent of the similar dance number from Stree, ‘Kamariya,’ which features Nora Fatehi. It is composed by Sachin-Jigar, who have also sung it with Madhubanti Bagchi and Divya Kumar with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The vocals by Madhubanti have an eclectic quality, combining playfulness with melody.

Earlier, the trailer for the film was released that introduced the core conflict where a headless ghost haunts the town of Chanderi and everyone come together to fight against it.

Stree 2 is part of Maddock Films’ ‘Supernatural Universe’, which includes Munjya and Bhediya. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande and written by Niren Bhatt, the film is scheduled to release on August 15.
