‘Shaukan’: Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah’s dreamy club song from Ulajh out

The song ‘Shaukan’ from Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah’s Ulajh was released by the makers on Monday. It is composed by Shashwat Sachdev, penned by Kumaar, and sung by Neha Kakkar, Jubin Nautiyal and Shashwat Sachdev.

The music video features Janhvi and Gulshan entering a night club with neon lights. After a few drinks, Janhvi hits the dance floor as the music drop comes. The song also has visuals of the two slowly falling in love. There is an offbeat, dreamlike quality to the music which combines elements of electronic dance music (EDM) and Punjabi vocals by Neha and Jubin.

The film’s trailer was unveiled recently which introduced Suhana Bhatia (Janhvi Kapoor), a young, ambitious girl who has been appointed as the youngest Deputy High Commissioner and she faces charges of nepotism against her.

Ulajh is directed by Sudhanshu Saria and apart from Gulshan and Janhvi, also features Roshan Mathew, Meiyang Chang, Rajesh Tailang, Adil Hussain and Jitendra Joshi in pivotal roles. Produced by Vineet Jain and co-produced by Amrita Pandey, the film is slated to release on August 2.
