‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’, a new song from Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk starrer Bad Newz, was unveiled by the makers recently. The song is a modern rendition of a song from the same name from the 1998 film Duplicate. The original number was picturized on Shah Rukh Khan, Sonali Bendre and Juhi Chawla. It was composed by Anu Malik, with lyrics by Javed Akhtar and was sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. The recreation of the song has been done by Lijo George-DJ Chetas.

The music video features Vicky, Triptii and Ammy. It is shot in exquisite foreign locations and shows the two lead actors (Vicky and Ammy), hilariously trying to one-up each other.

Previously, two songs from the film, the viral sensation ‘Tauba Tauba’ and the sultry ‘Jaanam’ has been released.

Bad Newz is about Saloni (Triptii), a young woman who gets pregnant but doesn’t know the identity of the father. It can either be the garrulous Akhil Chadha (Vicky) or the meek, turbaned Sikh, Gurbir (Ammy Virk). However, things take a strange turn when a doctor informs the throuple that it is a case of heteropaternal superfecundation, aka two eggs have been fertilised by two sperms, implying that now both Akhil and Gurbir are the fathers to Saloni’s unborn child.

The film, directed by Anand Tiwari, will be released in theatres on July 19.
