Canadian PM Justin Trudeau made a visit to Diljit Dosanjh’s concert in Toronto at the Rogers Centre where his show was sold-out, creating history with the feat. Earlier, Diljit had appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where he had performed his songs.

Diljit shared a video from the practise sessions at the stadium when Justin paid a visit to him. In the video, Justin is seen getting on the stage from behind as he is greeted by Diljit. In the caption, Dijlit wrote, “Prime Minister Justin Trudeau came to check out history in the making: we sold out the Rogers Centre!” Later, along with his group, Diljit and Justin yelled together, “Punjabi aagye oye (the Punjabis have arrived)”.

Justin re-shared photos from the meet on his Instagram and wrote, “Stopped by the Rogers Centre to wish Diljit Dosanjh good luck before his show. Canada is a great country — one where a guy from Punjab can make history and sell out stadiums. Diversity isn’t just our strength. It’s a super power.”

Diljit Dosanjh was earlier seen in the Punjabi film, Jatt & Juliet 3 which hit the theatres on June 28. He was also lauded for his portrayal of pop-singer Amar Singh Chamkila in the film made by Imtiaz Ali for Netflix in April this year.
