Sidharth Malhotra cautions his fans after one of them gets scammed of Rs 50 lakh

After a fan accused the alleged admins of a Sidharth Malhotra fan page of defrauding her of Rs 50 lakh, the actor took to social media to release a statement explaining that neither he nor his family support such actions. He also urged his fans to “exercise caution” and “avoid spreading false information.”

Recently, a fan named Minoo Vasudeva, based in the US, claimed on X that she had been deceived by two individuals, Aliza and Husna Parveen. According to Minoo, they fabricated stories about Sidharth’s life being in danger due to his wife, actor Kiara Advani. She further said that Aliza had solicited financial assistance from her to ‘save Sid.’

Vasudeva shared chats with the accused and wrote, “Dear Sidharth Malhotra & all Sidians, My name is Minoo Vasudevan from USA. There is a serious incident you all should know about admins Aliza & Husna Parveen, @sidmalhotra.updates. Between October 2023 to December 2023, they stole 50 lakhs from me. Between October 18th-24th 2023, they stole 10.5K rupees from my friend in UK, Maariya. Disclaimer: Some chats & evidence during this time have been deleted. However, I have crucial ones as evidence.”

Sidharth then posted a statement, which read, “It has been brought to my attention that certain fraudulent activities/scams have been circulating on various social media platforms, allegedly claiming to be associated with or in relation to me, my family and people claiming to be my fans and seeking money.”

“I want to assure everyone reading this that neither I nor my family or team support any of this. I urge all of you to exercise caution when dealing with such matters. If you receive any suspicious requests, report them to the appropriate authorities and avoid spreading false information. My fans have always been my biggest strength and your trust and safety are my top priorities. Big Love and Hug!” it added.
