Junaid Khan recently opened up about how supportive his family is and said that his father Aamir Khan and sister Ira encourage him even when they offer their criticism to his work. Junaid recently made his Hindi film debut with Maharaj, which released on Netflix.
In a conversation with India Today, Junaid said, “We don’t really talk about films so much. But I know that Ira unconditionally supports me. I'm blessed because I come from a very supportive family. Also, they don't shy away from saying it like it is. Even Papa will say, 'Look, I feel this, but you should do what you want.' The same is with mom. So, yeah, I think everybody is very supportive and very encouraging even in their criticism.”
Maharaj also starred Jaideep Ahlawat, Shivani Pandey and Sharvari (guest appearance). Junaid plays the role of social reformer Karsandas Mulji in the film who fought a libel case against a godman who was accused of sexual misconduct by Karsan through a newspaper article in the 1860s. The film is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Yash Raj Films.
