Former R&AW chief wants Nawazuddin Siddiqui to play a spy

Former R&AW Chief Vikram Sood recently said in a podcast that he would like to see Nawazuddin Siddiqui play a spy.

In a clip from a conversation at The Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, when asked which Indian actor's style could be best suited to portray the character of a spy, he replied, "Not giving any order or preference, I like Nawazuddin Siddiqui.”

Nawaz shared the clip on his Instagram stories and wrote, “Thank you Sir!.”

Although the actor has played varied roles in the past, including gangsters, police officers and detectives, the role of a secret agent still has been elusive.

Nawaz was recently seen in the ZEE5 film Rautu Ka Raaz, in which he plays an insomniac cop who has to solve the case of a murdered hostel warden.
