Varun Grover took to social media on Wednesday to announce that the poster and release date of his debut film All India Rank will be out on February 1. The film is written and directed by him and features Bodhisattva Sharma, Samta Sudiksha, Shashi Bhushan, Geeta Agrawal and Sheeba Chaddha in pivotal roles.
Varun shared a picture of him wearing a jacket with the name of the film written behind. In the caption, he wrote, “Poster drop and release date announcement for my directorial debut feature All India Rank happening tomorrow. Can’t wait to share with you all.”
All India Rank had its world premiere at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam in February 2023 where it was shown as the closing film. Since then, the film has been shown at MAMI Film Festival and Dharamshala International Film Festival where it was the opening film. In 2022, Varun had directed a science fiction short film KISS, starring Adarsh Gourav, Swanand Kirkire and Shubhrajyoti Barat.
All India Rank is set in the 1990s and tells the story of Vivek who attends an IIT coaching institute to prepare for the competitive exams. It is Produced by MatchBox Shots and co-produced by Clock Tower Pictures.
