Maharani 3 teaser: Huma Qureshi returns in a fierce avatar as Rani Bharati

The teaser of season 3 of the Sony LIV series Maharani, starring Huma Qureshi, was released on Tuesday. The show is directed by Saurabh Bhave and created by Subhash Kapoor, who has directed films like Jolly LLB (2013) and Madam Chief Minister (2021). It is written by Subhash Kapoor, Nandan Singh and Umashankar Singh. It also stars Amit Sial.

The teaser begins with Amit, who plays the role of politician Navin Kumar, reciting a Mahatma Gandhi quote to prisoners in jail. Soon, it is revealed that Rani Bharati (Huma Qureshi) has passed an intermediate exam. The news causes disappointment to Navin. We then see Huma’s Rani exit a police van. She folds her handcuffed hands and raises them to the sea of people outside. “I was a 4^th class dropout, still I created trouble for all of you,” she says. “Once I am a graduate, what will happen to you guys?”

The series also stars Vineet Kumar, Pramod Pathak, Dibyendu Bhattacharya and Sohum Shah in pivotal roles.

The release date of Maharani 3 is still under wraps. The first season of the show aired on Sony LIV in May 2021 followed by the second season in August 2022.
