Shilpa Shetty: I was supposed to work with Rohit Shetty in Golmaal

Actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who will soon be entering Rohit Shetty’s cop universe with Indian Police Force, recently opened up about her association with the director, and also shared that she was even supposed to be part of Rohit’s 2006 film Golmaal.

"My dad was crazy about movies and he assisted Rohit's dad (stuntman and action choreographer M.B. Shetty) in Yaadon Ki Baaraat. Shetty uncle and he were friends. My dad was a part of the action team in Yaadon Ki Baraat and even Raffoochakkar," she shared.

She added, "I keep telling Rohit that we were destined to work. We were supposed to work even 14 years ago. He had approached me for Golmaal, but I had just won Big Brother and was travelling. I was so gutted because when you see a brand becoming so big, you wish you were part of it. But I am glad we are doing this amazing project together now.”

Also featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi, Indian Police Force will be co-directed by Rohit along with Sushwanth Prakash. It will have seven episodes. Shweta Tiwari, Nikitin Dheer, Rituraj Singh, Mukesh Rishi, Lalit Parimoo also play pivotal roles in the series. It will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on January 19.
