Varun Dhawan, who is doing promotions for his upcoming film Baby John, recently recalled an incident when he was stalked by a fan--wife of a “very powerful man”—who entered his house and refused to leave. He also spoke about uncomfortable fan encounters and opened up about incidents where some fans kissed him forcibly and pinched his behind.
In a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia on YouTube, Varun spoke about the woman who once entered his home without permission. “And that lady was the wife of a very powerful man. I can’t say what position… but a very powerful man, and she was being catfished. Someone was talking to her using my name. She knew everything about my house and she thought I was going to leave my family. It became very scary,” he said. The Badlapur (2015) actor revealed that the situation went out of hand and they had to ultimately call the police. “She came with someone, and it became a family thing, and there were female constables who came in and they handled it,” he added.
Varun recalled another incident where a fan kissed him forcibly. When asked how he felt about it, he said he “did not like it.” On being asked if he felt “violated,” Varun said “a little bit.” He also shared that in the past, people have “pinched my butt.” The actor also said that when an incident like this happens with him, he immediately starts thinking about how it must be worse for women. “I feel bad for the women because I straightaway put myself in their position. If this is happening with me, it must be worse with them,” he said.
On the work front, Varun’s Baby John, also starring Jackie Shroff, Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi, is looking at a December 25 release.
