Vikrant Massey clarified about his recent Instagram post about retirement and said that everyone misread the post and that he is just going on a long break. In the post, the actor had said that his last two films will release in 2025.
Now, in a conversation with News18, Vikrant said, “I’m not retiring, just burned out. Need a long break. I miss home and my health is also acting up… People misread it.”
His post sparked shocking reactions from everyone as he wrote, “Hello, the last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor.”
His Haseen Dillruba co-star Harshvardhan Rane wished for it be a PR move. “Hope he gets back to making films like Aamir Khan sir also did after making a similar announcement. These are great artists, and our country needs their presence in our cinema. I am praying this is just some PR activity forced on him by some filmmaker,” he said speaking to Bollywood Bubble earlier.
Vikrant was last seen in The Sabarmati Report which released last month. The actor is well-known for acting in films like 12th Fail, Death in the Gunj and Sector 36 among others.
