Nargis Fakhri’s sister was arrested for allegedly murdering her ex-boyfriend and his friend in New York by setting fire to a garage. Her ex-boyfriend Edward Jacobs (35) and his friend Anastasia Ettienne (33) died in the incident which occurred in the Jamaica neighbourhood of Queens on November 2.

According to the district attorney of Queens, Aliya (43), arrived at the garage early on in the morning and shouted, “You’re all going to die today,” before setting the structure on fire. Edward was asleep when the fire broke out and Anastasia made an attempt to save him but failed to so, leading to their death due to smoke inhalation.

Alia faces four counts of first-degree murder, four counts of second-degree murder and one count each of first and second-degree arson. If convicted, she could face a life sentence. Her next court hearing is scheduled for December 9.
