
Filmmaker Sudip Sharma’s crime-thriller series Kohrra, is set to return for a second season, the makers announced on Tuesday. The first season aired on Netflix in 2023 and was lauded for its blend of crime, emotion and touching upon the depths of human psyche. Mona Singh has joined the cast for Season 2 and Barun Sobti will be returning to his role of a young police officer which he essayed in the first season.
The show will be directed by showrunner, producer and co-creator Sudip Sharma along with Faisal Rahman and Produced by Act Three Productions and Film Squad Productions.
Speaking on the second season of the show, Tanya Bami, series head, Netflix, said in a release, “Kohrra has been a show that has been loved, lauded and has a cult following almost! Fans are eagerly awaiting season 2 and we are delighted to announce that we are soon going into production for the same. We are excited to go deeper into this unique, intriguing and complex world created by Sudip Sharma, Digi & Gunjit. What makes this season even more exciting is that Sudip is donning many hats as showrunner, director and producer.”
