‘Singhasan Khali Karo’, the first song from Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Emergency was unveiled by the makers on Monday. Sung by Udit Narayan, Nakash Aziz and Nakul Abhyankar, the song has been penned by Manoj Muntashir with composition by GV Prakash Kumar.
The music video features Anupam Kher and Shreyas Talpade in the roles of Jayprakash Narayan and Atal Bihari Vajpayee as they raise a clarion call to Kangana’s dictatorial Indira Gandhi and ask her to ‘vacate the throne’. The song is featured in the backdrop of JP’s movement against Indira Gandhi’s accumulation of absolute power during the 1975 Emergency.
The film also features the late Satish Kaushik, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman and Vishak Nair. Noted writer Ritesh Shah penned the screenplay and dialogue of the film.
Directed by Kangana Ranaut, Emergency is produced by her along with Renu Pitti and Umesh KR Bansal.
After multiple delays, the film is set to be released on September 6.
